Nesting

I know it's been a while but if you've been reading my blogs, you haven't missed much. My last entry was about decorating baby's room, well guess what, we are still doing that.

I think I'm driving Devon mad because I am in what they call the "nesting phase" of pregnancy and I need to get everything ready for baby like yesterday! It should be done in a week I hope, crossing my fingers here. At least the majority of the paint is on the walls and the furniture is now done.

I'm getting really excited for this baby girl to come along. I keep hearing how the love you will feel for your child is so deep it's unexplainable. I'm looking forward to that and then gettting a massive revelation of how much God loves me in turn. Not that it could ever be understood.

Well I do have to cut this short. Our weekly prayer meeting has now commenced in the living room. I don't want to miss out, cause you never know what will happen.

Decorating Baby's Room

Painting is so much fun, especially when I don't have to do any of it, but just direct and tell everyone how it's going to be done. (Well, at least try with my husband.) So far, all he's painted is a few of the dresser drawers, and alas, I was told to go away, and not interfere with his artsy ways. We've already disagreed on how the drawers should be painted, and I must tell you that I won, but only on the grounds that I am designing the room, and how he wants the drawers painted would not go with the overall theme. It was a cute battle.

Love and marriage... I once read that newlyweds are great at two things:
making love and making war. How true is that statement!

I do have to say that I am pleased with the color of paint that I purchased today. It's called "Sunny", and that it is. Since the walls will be a lilac color, I wanted the accent color to look like sunshine was in the room. Mostly because there will be flowers and butterflies and all the girly girly things I can think of; knowing of course that our baby is a girl.

I am very excited to decorate. Decorating has always interested me, but I rarely have done it because I have never been in my own place. Now that we are in our own place, (sort of) it's fun to make it our own. I wish I could do all the things that are in my creative mind to do, but alas, that would mean that I need loads of money, and well, at the moment it's just not there. However, I am so excited as I said before that we have paint, and can make this baby room special for our special daughter.

Speaking of special, I really enjoyed our house group meeting tonight. It was special, it was the last one we can go to as our pre-natal classes will start next week. I just enjoyed how open and honest people were, and how it ended with sharing how we all felt about eachother, and how blessed we all are to know one another. It was warm and fuzzy and I thought it was "special". We need to do that more; tell people how we feel about them, and let them know they are loved and appreciated.

I like honor.

It's a GIRL!!!

To our utter amazement and surprise, Devon and I are having a baby girl. She will enter our arms in about 10 weeks time, and we are anticipating her arrival immensely.

We had the ultrasound, and it was such a cool experience. We did get a few 3D shots, but mostly 2D because our baby girl is getting bigger, and her face was pressed against the uterine wall to closely to get the clearest of pictures. However this one is pretty good. So enjoy! I certainly am. This is such a miracle to me. God is so cool.

18 week old baby rundvall

I figured it out! I was trying to get this image up on this blog for weeks! I guess I'm not as blond as I thought.

This is a 2D image of baby rundvall at 18 weeks. Baby is 12 weeks older now, and is quite a bit larger. As you can see, baby is stretched right out in my womb. Now baby is likely curled up and the reason I'm feeling so much movement is probably because baby cannot stretch out like he/she used to.

It's the wierdest feeling having life moving around inside me. This baby is kicking me so much the last few days, probably 90% more than normal. It's wild!

So like I said in my last blog, 2 minutes ago, we will have an updated ultrasound done, and hopefully I can post the 3D DVD of baby rundvall on this blog. How great would that be!

This is me 29 weeks prego!
Crazy isn't it? This Friday we are going to Calgary to get a 3D ultrasound. That is if the baby is in the right position and the placenta isn't in the way of baby's face. If it is, then we opt for the black and white 2D. Either way, our mission is to find out the sex of baby rundvall and finally give this child it's rightful name. I hate calling baby an "it". Actually to tell you the truth I really believe we are going to be having a boy. Friday will either confirm or deny my intuition. Don't get me wrong I will be thrilled whatever the sex, I just have a gut instinct that we are going to have a boy.

A girl would make me a little more comfortable since I only grew up with girls. Either way, I have no clue how to raise a child. I think the key may be to stay out of it's way so that it can actually live it's childhood out to the fullest, certain perameters of course. I just need to let this child be who he/she is, and not try to live my life through his/hers. Man will I be glad when I don't have to say he/she, or him/her.

Over and out.

Blessings

I have so much to be thankful for. God is an extravegant God. I am excited about every miracle that has happened to us. Bring it on God! I am actually having trouble recieving it all. My natural mind does not comprehend the fact that we get to have all these things yet not be getting a salary every month. I guess what it all comes down to is seek first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you, and yet I did nothing I can think of to deserve any of this.

I am trying not to focus on all these things... however it is hard to ignore the blessing of God right now, and I feel truly grateful. We have been given everything from love to a digital camera, grocery cards, cash, clothes, friends who come and visit and bless us with their presence, and then leave us money on the pillows they slept on. We've been taken to movies and out for dinner, had a prophetic conference paid for that I am really excited to go to, and another ultrasound paid for that we will be going to very soon so we can find out the sex of the baby. I could go on... God has shown us the extavegance he promised us, and I know it is only the beginning. He has restored broken relationships, he has renewed lost ones, and given me even more love for the ones I still have.
And if I stop here, I might just explode because there is so much more to be thankful for.

A baby growing inside of me (who will not stop moving around inside me today), and a loving husband who will be the best father. We have been blessed with so much baby stuff, a crib, car seat, highchair, dressers, change table, curtains, paint for the baby room, and so many other things that I know God is going to look after our child and his/her every need.

I have nothing to worry about, no matter how ridiculous this lifestyle is to the world. I have nothing to worry about, no matter how much religious banter comes against us. I have nothing to worry about no matter how much the gas bill is this month. I have nothing to worry about no matter how my circumstances look. I just have a faithful God that loves me and my family and I am truly grateful for everything he gives. And I have to say it is over and above what I thought it would be, not ever how I thought it would play out, but more than I could ever dream or imagine.

I am blessed.

Happy New Year!

Christmas is over, and Happy New Year to all! I had a great holiday with family, and much food was eaten. I have still been recovering from bronchitis, and while I was at my parents, I think I cracked a rib from all the couhging I've been doing. It's very painful, even hurts to laugh, and that sucks cause I laugh alot. Gonna go to my doctor tomorrow and get it checked out. I'm a little bit nervous about it cause going into labour with cracked ribs sounds deadly. I still have a few months to recover yet, and Jesus can do alot in that time. I covet your prayers.

I'm excited for my company coming this evening. My good friend Mellisa and her husband Chase are staying for a few days! Mellisa and I went to Holland together. It had been too long since I'd seen her by the time her wedding rolled around, so this will be great. There's a few different factors involved now called husbands, so it will be a whole new experience. But we are planning on having some God time together. They are bringing guitars and we shall have a good time worshipping and basking in the presence of Jesus. I am looking forward to it!

Well there is work to be done, and I need to squeeze a nap in before the party starts. All the best in 2006!
